Playwright
Selena Rose Deer is an Actor, Poet, Playwright, Singer-Songwriter, Teaching Artist, and Musical Bookwriter.
Born and raised in Wisconsin, Selena is of Jamaican, Sicilian, and Irish heritage and identifies as a proud Black Woman.
Selena holds a BA in Communication (Mass Media) and Theatre (Performance) from UW-Green Bay.
Teaching Artist
Selena teaches Performing Arts and Creative Writing, for ages K-12, focusing on an Introduction to Acting, Shakespeare, Voice for the Actor, Musical Theatre, and Improv. In addition, Selena also teaches Songwriting, Spoken Word Poetry, and An Introduction to Storytelling and Playwrighting.

ASSASSIN’S ANTHOLOGY, with performances at the University of Green Bay (2018) and Staged Reading in the Sunstone Studios New Works Festival (2022)
A DAY OF RAIN, an unpublished new jukebox musical based on the music of the band Alabama Shakes.
THE HIVE, a new unpublished Dystopian thriller.
